gPlace4
  Great Place For (further in the text gPlace4) is a collaboration platform for all interested in outdoors sports and geo- tourism all over the world. Unlike a travel books, audio tapes and other commercial tourist media, gPlace4 is a public domain that continually updated, with the creation or editing of locations and their descriptions by tens or hundreds of the site users, rather than by corporate promoters and advertising agencies.

Using gPlace4
    Anyone with internet access can browse gPlace4 locations, go through descriptions and pictures, and once logged in: add and remove comments, edit descriptions and add and remove associated pictures.

Anyone can find here first-hand information about cultural or sport activity of interest; follow the lead of somebody who was there and did it; find what is interesting and right there around the corner.

Anyone can become a leader; recruit followers; make a local spot known worldwide.

Contributing to gPlace4
Contributors to the gPlace4 do not need specialized qualifications to put their information on the web site. To become a contributor user should create an account with gPlace4 and log in. Contributor’s primary role is to pinpoint a great place they have been to or a route they have taken using the Google Earth Map provided; write small articles about their experience; and post some pictures. Anyone is welcomed to add information, cross-references or citations, as long as they do so within gPlace4's herein policies and to an appropriate standard. Substandard or disputed information is subject to removal.

Contributing starts with creating of a user account on the web site. Once a user is logged in he/she can create a new location: navigate through continents and countries to a region of interest and select a Submit New Place link. Contributor will be offered a form to fill in name and description of a place. By selection on the form appropriate radio button for path or location Contributor can pinpoint or mark corresponding place/route on the Google Map. Once a location is on the map, contributor gets an option of adding pictures.

Existing descriptions can be edited or complemented by anyone logged on the web site, simply by clicking the edit description or add a comment correspondingly. It is important to realize that in contributing to gPlace4, users are expected to be civil and neutral, respecting all points of view, and only add factual information and personal views and opinions.

Most place descriptions start as blurb, but after many contributions, they can become well rounded description of a place or activity. Once you have determined that there is nothing about a place of activity you are interested in, you could write it yourself. The hope is that any contributor is to provide useful and accurate information to others.

There should not be any direct advertising or sales of services or goods in a location descriptions or pictures. Users need to be aware of this to obtain valid information and avoid misinformation that has been recently added and not yet removed.

gPlace4 buddy system

As a personal prospective on a place is never complete it could be continually edited and improved over time. Users should be aware that all the text, images and other data on gPlace4 represent somebody’s personal prospective and may contain debatable or false information.

Several mechanisms are in place to help gPlace4 users carry out the important work of crafting a pastime resource while maintaining civility. Contributors are able to watch pages and techies can write editing programs to keep track of or rectify bad edits. Administrators with special powers ensure that images and texts conform to gPlace4’s guidelines and policies. Where there are disagreements on how to present a location, contributors work together to arrive at a description which fairly represents current opinion place and activities. Contributors who fail to work with others in a civil manner can be temporarily or permanently banned from editing gPlace4 by the administrators.

The gPlace4 has robust reversion control. This means that poor quality edits or vandalism can quickly and easily be reversed or brought up to an appropriate standard by any other contributor editors, so inexperienced editors cannot accidentally do permanent harm if they make a mistake in their editing. As there are many more editors intent upon good quality place descriptions than any other kind, descriptions that are poorly edited are usually corrected promptly.

Copyright Licence
All of the text in gPlace4 is covered by the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL). Contributions remain the property of their creators, while the GFDL license ensures the content is freely distributable and reproducible.

Any uploaded to gPlace4 files and images are subject to Copyright law. Contributor of uploaded material agrees to continue to retain ownership rights in these files, images, photos, video, sounds, musical works, works of authorship, or any other materials that become subject to the limited license herein. By uploading or publishing ("posting") any data on or through the gPlace4 website, contributor hereby grants to gPlace4 a limited license to use, modify, delete from, add to, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce, and distribute these data solely on or through the gPlace4. This limited license does not grant gPlace4 the right to sell or otherwise distribute your data outside of the gPlace4.

After contributor removes data from the gPlace4 it is not part of this license anymore and could not be accessed through gPlace4.

The license, that contributor grants to gPlace4, is non-exclusive, fully-paid and royalty-free, sub-licensable.

Contributor represents, warrants and covenants that: he/she owns the data uploaded by contributor to gPlace4 or otherwise have the right to grant the license set forth here, and the posting of his/her data on gPlace4 does not violate any applicable laws, including but not limited to the privacy rights, publicity rights, intellectual property rights, copyrights, contract rights or any other rights of any person or entity.

At the time of download or other use, gPlace4’s users are aware of and recognise the copyright nature of texts, files, images, photos, video, sounds, musical works, or any other materials on the web site.

Oversight and management
gPlace4 will delete user account along with all texts, images and other data without prior notice if in case of the following:

1. Transmission, storage, or distribution of any information, data, or material in violation of any applicable law or regulation is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: copyrighted material; trademarks; trade secrets or other intellectual property rights used without proper authorization; material that is obscene, defamatory, constitutes an illegal threat, or violates export control laws.

2. Uploading and/or displaying pornography or sex-related texts and images of any kind. It is gPlace4's sole discretion what constitutes pornography.

3. Uploading and/or displaying images and information for commercial use or attempts to collect personal information about users.

4. Uploading and/or displaying non photo images for distribution; this includes, but is not limited to; game screen captures, movie screen captures, wallpapers, tags, anime, animated .gifs, buddy-icons, avatars, emoticons, and signatures (sigs).

5. Blatant expressions of bigotry, racism, hatred, or profanity, as well as promotion of physical harm or injury against any group or individual. Uploading or/and displaying material insulting, or that could be considered defamatory or libelous, to other persons, institutions or companies.

6. Promotion or display of instructional information supporting illegal activities; this includes, but is not limited to, instructions for the building or use of weapons, mail fraud, or pyramid schemes, or any material that infringes the intellectual property rights of third parties.

7. Promotion of physical harm or injury against any group or individual as well as any material that exploits children

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT:
a) YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" BASIS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GPLACE4 AND ITS LICENSORS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
b) GPLACE4 AND ITS LICENSORS MAKES NO WARRANTY (I) THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, (II) THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR BUG-FREE, (III) REGARDING THE SECURITY, RELIABILITY, TIMELINESS, OR PERFORMANCE OF THE SOFTWARE, AND (IV) THAT ANY ERRORS IN THE SOFTWARE WILL BE CORRECTED.
c) ANY CONTENT OR MATERIAL DOWNLOADED OR OTHERWISE OBTAINED THROUGH THE USE OF THE GPLACE4 IS DONE AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION AND RISK AND YOU WILL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER SYSTEM OR OTHER DEVICE OR LOSS OF DATA THAT RESULTS FROM THE DOWNLOAD OF ANY SUCH CONTENT OR MATERIAL.
d) NONE OF THE GPLACE4 SOFTWARE OR DATA ARE INTENDED FOR USE IN THE OPERATION OF NUCLEAR FACILITIES, LIFE SUPPORT SYSTEMS, EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS, AIRCRAFT NAVIGATION OR COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS, AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEMS, OR ANY OTHER SUCH ACTIVITIES IN WHICH CASE THE FAILURE OF THE SOFTWARE COULD LEAD TO DEATH, PERSONAL INJURY, OR SEVERE PHYSICAL OR ENVIRONMENTAL DAMAGE.
e) NO ADVICE OR INFORMATION, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, OBTAINED BY YOU FROM GPLACE4 OR ANY THIRD PARTY OR THROUGH THE SOFTWARE SHALL CREATE ANY WARRANTY NOT EXPRESSLY STATED IN THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT GPLACE4 AND ITS LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES (EVEN IF GPLACE4 OR ITS LICENSORS HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES) RESULTING FROM: (I) THE USE OR THE INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE OR TO ACCESS CONTENT OR DATA; (II) THE COST OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES; (III) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR DATA; OR (V) ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO THE SOFTWARE. THE FOREGOING LIMITATIONS SHALL APPLY NOTWITHSTANDING A FAILURE OF ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF ANY LIMITED REMEDY AND TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL GPLACE4 OR ANY THIRD PARTY WHO MAKES ITS SOFTWARE OR CONTENT AVAILABLE IN CONJUNCTION WITH OR THROUGH THE SOFTWARE BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY USER ON ACCOUNT OF YOUR USE OR MISUSE OF THE SOFTWARE OR SUCH THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE OR CONTENT. SUCH LIMITATION OF LIABILITY SHALL APPLY TO PREVENT RECOVERY OF DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, AND PUNITIVE DAMAGES WHETHER SUCH CLAIM IS BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR OTHERWISE, (EVEN IF GPLACE4 AND/OR A THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE OR CONTENT PROVIDER HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES). SUCH LIMITATION OF LIABILITY SHALL APPLY WHETHER THE DAMAGES ARISE FROM THE USE OR MISUSE OF, INABILITY TO USE, OR RELIANCE ON THE SOFTWARE AND ALL THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE OR CONTENT MADE AVAILABLE IN CONJUNCTION WITH OR THROUGH THE SOFTWARE, OR FROM THE INTERRUPTION, SUSPENSION, OR TERMINATION OF GPLACE4 TOOLBAR AND ANY THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE OR CONTENT MADE AVAILABLE IN CONJUNCTION WITH OR THROUGH THE SOFTWARE (INCLUDING SUCH DAMAGES INCURRED BY THIRD PARTIES). SUCH LIMITATION SHALL APPLY NOTWITHSTANDING A FAILURE OF ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF ANY LIMITED REMEDY AND TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

This is the entire agreement. It may not be changed orally. Any waiver, alteration, or modification of any of the provisions of this agreement will not be valid unless in writing signed by both parties.
